I enjoy teaching and it brings me great joy to watch people, who thought they weren't creative, discover that they actually are! Regardless of your experience or objectives, my personal and fun teaching style will help you feel relaxed and inspired.

WHAT IS A MOSAIC?

Great question! A mosaic is the art of creating images made from the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. Stained glass is used in my private lessons because it provides the widest range in colors, as well as an even surface for grouting.

HOW DO I MAKE A MOSAIC?

By scheduling a private lesson with me! Let’s be honest, it’s one thing to watch a longer-than-it-needs-to-be mosaic YouTube video, and a whole other thing to get your questions answered by an experienced instructor.

I’ve been creating mosaics for over 30 years and I’m often asked, “How did you start doing mosaics?” If you’re old enough to remember the popular show “Trading Spaces,” that is where I got the inspiration to try mosaics. Of course, on TV they always make it look like it takes 5 minutes. I soon learned it does not. Even so, I was hooked the very first time I tried it and you will be too!
